The Lotus Pond - The Republic of China
The lotus pond has inspired many of my paintings such as "Blue and Purple Leaves with White Flower" above and "Dropped Lotus Petal" below.
Both carry the wonderful calligraphy of the world renowned Taiwanese artist, poet and scholar Lo Ching-che.
Lo Ching-che has work in the The Ashmoleon Museum ,Oxford University Uk, USA Huntington Library ' s Chinese gardens, the National Museum of Art, Taichung Taiwan and May 2012 his work is on display at The British Museum Uk. I feel very honoured that Lo Ching has added his poetic calligraphy to more than 40 of my Chinese brush paintings.(see gallery).
I am Renee M. Vickery and use "Ren-ah" as my artist's name, as Renee translates to this in Chinese. The Chinese name I have adopted is "Autumn Moon" and this can be found upon my latest paintings.
My chop (seal in red) is Ren-ah and "Autumn Moon" which can be seen as my signature on many of the paintings.
My Chinese brush paintings hang on walls in Taiwan, the UK, Singapore and the USA.
Feel free to explore my gallery and if you wish to purchase a painting, please contact me.
I am also happy to accept commissions and provide Chinese painting lessons in Sarasota by arrangement.
Artwork (which can be sent worldwide) is unframed and packed in a protective cylinder.
